Join Us for a Day of Community, Connection, and Celebration

Solo Housing is proud to be part of a collaborative effort alongside Anglia Care Trust and Orwell Housing to bring you the annual Recovery Tournament. This event aims to provide a day of enjoyment and camaraderie for individuals in recovery, fostering confidence, skill development, and improved mental and physical well-being.

Fostering Confidence and Connection

The heart of the Recovery Tournament lies in its ability to bring people together in a spirit of unity and support. Through friendly competition and teamwork, participants not only develop new skills but also forge lasting friendships and social networks. The event serves as a platform for individuals to realize their own potential, breaking down barriers and promoting a sense of belonging within the community.

An Inclusive and Invigorating Experience

Open to anyone living within housing-related support who is in recovery or has completed a recovery program, the tournament welcomes participants of all ages, genders, and physical abilities. Invitations are extended to housing support providers across Suffolk, with some providers from neighbouring areas also joining in. The event is a testament to the collaborative efforts of statutory and other services, including the police, Turning Point, local authorities, and health services, working hand in hand to support the recovery journey.

A Day of Action-Packed Fun

The tournament features thrilling 6×6 matches, with each team vying for victory in a series of competitive rounds. As the day unfolds, participants enjoy food, refreshments, and the camaraderie of fellow teammates and supporters. Every participant receives a participation medal, with trophies awarded to the winning team at the end of the day.

Making a Positive Impact

Beyond the thrill of competition, the Recovery Tournament is a catalyst for positive change. By promoting physical activity, encouraging self-realization, boosting confidence, and fostering new friendships, the event creates tangible outcomes that extend far beyond the playing field. Each participant leaves with a renewed sense of purpose and connection to their community.
