Our Board held an Away Day on Monday, dedicated to charting Solo Housing’s path forward, as we approach our 40 year anniversary. Held at a lovely venue in Cambridge, the day was marked by lively discussions, strategic deliberations, and a palpable sense of excitement for what lies ahead.

Led by Carli from Awe & Sonder, the day was expertly facilitated, ensuring that all voices were heard and diverse perspectives were considered. The atmosphere was one of collaboration, with board members engaging in spirited debates and generating innovative ideas to propel us into the next chapter. Now the work really starts to embed these ideas into the 5 year Business Plan.

Central to the discussions was the overarching goal of sustaining Solo Housing’s mission for another 40 years of supporting people in need. Board members delved into strategic planning and exploring avenues for growth. With a commitment to adaptability and innovation, Solo aims to remain a beacon of support for those facing homelessness or at risk of losing their home.

As discussions unfolded, board members reflected on Solo’s journey thus far and the milestones achieved along the way. From humble beginnings to becoming a trusted provider of social housing, we have continually evolved to meet the changing needs of our community. With a renewed sense of purpose and determination, we are poised to build on our past success and are excited for the new opportunities ahead.

The Away Day served as a testament to the passion and dedication of all involved, instilling a real sense of optimism for the future. As we continue our journey, we remain steadfast in our commitment to serving those in need and making a positive difference in the community, ensuring that the legacy of compassion and support continues.
