Are you single and need somewhere to live?

It doesn’t matter why you find yourself homeless. We’re here to help you find somewhere to live. This service is for men and women aged 18 upwards, who need a roof over their head and regular visits from staff to help you maintain your tenancy and develop skills to live independently. The accommodation we can offer in Norfolk is situated in Breckland and South Norfolk, and in Suffolk the accommodation is in Sudbury and Stowmarket. During your stay we will work with you:

  • in areas that you agree with to help you maintain your tenancy, such as claiming benefits you are entitled to
  • to help you develop skills to live by yourself when you move on from Solo Housing and we will meet with you regularly to discuss your progress, plans or any issues you may have
  • to help you to put your ideas for the future into action
  • to obtain move-on accommodation

As well as hostel accommodation in Diss, we also have a number of flats and houses. Some are let to individuals and some are shared. We can also introduce you to other agencies and landlords if we can’t meet your needs ourselves. We’re here to help you.

We will send you an application form, which you need to complete and return. We also ask for any relevant information including reports to be sent with your application. If you refer yourself then you will need to give us details of someone who knows about your personal circumstances and who we can approach for further information.

Once the application form and the supporting information is returned we will assess whether your application is suitable against our criteria, and if so arrange an interview. If all goes well we will arrange a move in date for your new home and allocate you a Support Worker.

Our accommodation is not permanent. We expect residents to move on within two years and as part of our support package we will help you to find private sector, local authority or housing association accommodation to move into.
